Through the practice of Nonviolent Communication, the universality of needs, what really matters to us and the earth, is touched.
This alive work can steady and allow something deeper to shine forth.
It is an inner path to walk slowly.
Come explore how the NVC inquiry creates connection
and dissolves boundaries.
Barbara Bash is an artist and communication facilitator who has explored Nonviolent Communication in many settings. She has led practice groups and workshops in buddhist communities, and prisons and hosts an ongoing bi-monthly practice group – See No Enemy – on Zoom. Barbara attended the NVC Intensive in the West Bank in 2017 with Palestinians and Israelis in dialogue and experienced the space of holding two truths. Her website is barbarabash.com.
Shea Riester, LMSW, SEP, is a somatic therapist and mindfulness & communication teacher from Brooklyn, NY. At home Shea builds community through co-leading the Brooklyn Insight sangha, teaching Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and mediating and holding conflict transformation circles with the NY Peace Institute, nonprofits and schools in NYC. Shea fell in love with dharma and NVC concurrently when he was 19 and has practiced in the Insight and Plum Village Buddhist lineages for 14 years. Shea also facilitates Joanna Macy’s “Work that Reconnects” practices for activists around the Northeast.
