Montana Piñeyro is a new, regenerative farmer. She moved to Nova Scotia with her family in 2021 to start a new life as a farmer. Prior to becoming a farmer, she was a spa owner & aesthetician in Austin, Texas where she began raising chickens, goats, and rabbits, and growing food in an urban setting.
Recognizing that farming is a big contributor to climate change, she chose to become a farmer and use methods that add value to the planet and ecosystems, as opposed to polluting them. She hopes to inspire many more people to join in this movement to create more, small farms and reduce the need for big Ag.
She is passionate about raising animals humanely and growing food that is full of nutrients and available to local communities. She has a long history as an entrepreneur and has always had an ease with animals.
This journey is a constant learning experience, and she is happy to share what she is learning every day with those interested.
